Steps
- Open Tools (“工具”) → Video to Live Photo (“视频转实况”) and import a clip with the video picker. Videos whose long edge exceeds the 4,096-pixel limit show an unsupported-size notice.
- Use the full-video timeline to place the segment’s start and end. The final segment can be at most three seconds; the timeline also enforces a minimum selectable duration. Preview plays the selected part of the original video. Encoding starts only after you tap Generate.
- Open the cover-frame panel and choose a still on the timeline inside the selected segment. The cover preview and export use the same precise frame.
- Choose Original (“原尺寸”), HD (“高清”), or Compact (“小体积”) quality, then decide whether to keep sound. Original allows a long edge up to 4,096 pixels, HD up to 1,920 pixels, and Compact up to 1,280 pixels. Smaller input is not enlarged.
- Check the segment, cover, quality, and sound options, then generate. After previewing the result, save the paired photo and video assets to your Photos library.
Review before saving
Confirm that the clip is no longer than three seconds, the cover frame shows the moment you want, and sound is enabled or disabled as intended. If file size or compatibility matters, compare the actual results from the available quality settings. Do not infer a fixed file size or HDR appearance from a quality label.
Frequently asked questions
Which videos can I import? Does it support every MP4?
Import a video that iOS makes available to its video picker and can read. MP4 is a container; the codecs inside it also affect compatibility. Support depends on what iOS can read, so not every MP4 or other video format is guaranteed to import and convert.
How long can the selected clip be?
The Live Photo segment can be up to three seconds. The timeline constrains the selection. A source whose long edge exceeds 4,096 pixels shows an unsupported-size notice.
Can I choose the cover frame or turn off sound?
Yes. Choose a frame from within the selected segment and decide whether to keep audio from the source video. If the source has no audio track, the result has no sound.
Is my video uploaded during conversion?
Video-to-Live-Photo conversion runs on device. This workflow does not upload the source video to the app developer’s servers.
Does saving a Live Photo make it a lock-screen wallpaper?
Saving a Live Photo to Photos and setting a lock-screen wallpaper are separate actions. This Pic Can Change creates and saves the Live Photo; it does not set wallpapers. Compatibility or display behavior as a lock-screen wallpaper on specific devices and iOS versions has not been verified and is not guaranteed.
